Eco Teens Project

   Last Year, 2014, a project was created here in Barra do Choça, it is called "Eco Teens". This project aims to teach the teens and children the value of preservation, the value of keeping the world as natural. For now, the responsible school is João Batista Figueiredo Municipal School, and its theme is deforestation, but focusing on eucalyptus, this is very problematic, because it absorbs the water from the earth.
   And actually, the main goal of the project of this year is to teach the students how the world works, when the first eucalyptus tree as planted here in Brazil, And the problems the deforestation may cause.

Family

    Last satuday evening (August, 29th) at Manoel Ramos School the family day was celebrated.
    A few years ago the mother's day and the father's day were celebrated but many kids didn't live with their parents, they lived with grandparents, uncles and brothers. So thinking about these kids, the school now celebrates the family day.

Tragic car crash has made two fatal victims

   There was a terrible car crash last Thursday. A car with three teachers went out of control and hit against a truck, two teachers (a man and a woman) died immediately and one teacher got seriously hurt, but she is out of risk. The accident occurred on the road between Poções and Bom Jesus da Serra.
